Long Summer Days

Summer, oh glorious summer. Long lazy days filled with trips to the beach, looking after our small but lush garden, splashing in our blow-up pool, late dinners (and late bedtime too). Frangipanis are everywhere, and I’ve taken plenty of pictures of their delicate petals. Sand is everywhere too – in the car, at home, sometimes even in the bed. There is always watermelon in the fridge, and we have even picked a few sweet berries off our recently planted strawberries. Chilies are in abundance, and so are herbs. I can’t remember the last time it was not too hot for Daniel to wear a tshirt at home, and our fans sometimes have to stay on through the night. Our backyard is filled the most gorgeous golden light in the evening, and my heart is filled with immense gratitude.

I know that in a few short weeks it might all be over, but I have these pictures to remind me of the magic of summer days.
