Bunny, Friend, and a Lovely Carrot

Once upon a time on a warm sunny afternoon one very happy Bunny was skipping through the open fields.

Suddenly, The Bunny noticed something bright sticking out of the ground! “Ohhh what can it be?” thought The Bunny…

“Ohhh it’s a carrot! How nice it is of this carrot to wait for me here! I love carrots! They are orange and crunchy!”

 And The Bunny happily picked it up, smiled, and prepared to do some serious munching when a thought crossed The Bunny’s mind…

“Hmmm, I bet this carrot will taste even sweeter if I share it with someone who loves carrots as much as I do! I need to find a friend because friends make everything more fun!”

And so The Bunny started looking for a friend…
The Bunny was hoping The Birdie would like to share the carrot. “Birdie, Birdie,” called The Bunny. But there was no reply…

 “Probably The Birdy is busy today…” thought The Bunny.

“What to do, what to do…” thought The Bunny and held on tight to the lovely vegetable. “I am very hungry because of this fresh air, but I can’t have the carrot all to myself as I will not taste as sweet as it can when you share it with a friend…”

But then a big smile appeared on Bunny’s little face! Because The Bunny suddenly saw someone who looked very familiar…

So The Bunny cheerfully hopped across the soft grassy field, carrot in hand.

But that someone was curled up in a little fluffy ball, having an afternoon nap. “Wake up, wake up!” called The Bunny. “Look what I found!”

And The Friend woke up, and The Bunny gave him the biggest hug possible! Because now they can share the carrot and play together and be happy.

They chomped on the lovely carrot and hopped in the grass until the sunset.

But then The Bunny had to go home because it was bunnies’ bedtime, and Mummy was already waiting at their cozy little burrow.

“Good Night, Friend!” turned and called The Bunny. “Let’s look for more carrots tomorrow!”

And The Friend smiled and said: “Yes, because everything is more fun when you do it together!”
